Jerri James, founder of Club GoBeDo & The Orphan Campaign has a very clear mission: teach children about caring and serving others in need. Their brand is derived from the idea that each child should be encouraged to “Go Somewhere, Be a Voice, Do Something”. EMG was charged with creating a brand and website that is fun for kids, yet inspires confidence in parents and donors.
Additional organizational goals required that the website be extensible and include e-commerce functionality. EMG’s code team implemented a robust system of tools and open-source frameworks with cost and growth in mind, drawing on various APIs to communicate seamlessly between payment and shipping portals.
The result is a fun brand and an engaging website comprised of games, cartoons, videos, and products that all serve to encourage and teach kids how to be more selfless.
